10 Best Songs By... Lorde

Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor, better known by her stage name Lorde, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and I decided to choose her 10 best songs (according to me), because she is about to turn 20 years old (born 7 November 1996) and I wanted to celebrate her birthday by doing this list with her best songs.

Even when she has only released one album, there are several tracks that deserved to be in her top ten of best tracks, because of their mesages and/or rhythm. The first track that all we heard by Lorde was Royals, that received acclaim from music critics, who praised its minimal production and lyrics. However, there are other underrated songs that you should listen to (in case that you only know Royals).

10 Best Songs by... The Weeknd

It's Sunday of 10 best songs by... I have decided to make a list with the 10 best songs by this Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer called The Weeknd.

I have to admit that the first time that I heard his stage name, was when Ariana Grande released Love Me Harder, from her second album My Everything in 2014. Then, he become successful when he released Earn It and the rest is history. However, Beauty Behind the Madness was the first album that I heard and it was his second album, so I have to admit that I haven't heard his past EPs, but I have heard some of his old songs.

Well, talking about her upcoming new single, now there's a rumor that "Perfect Illusion" will be out on September 9th, but nobody has confirmed it.

As you already know, Rihanna will be in charge to open the MTV VMAs 2016 with a medley of her best songs, so I decided to make a list with her 10 best songs (so far) according to me. 

Rihanna has released eight studio albums, two compilation albums and in total 64 singles! So will be hard for me to choose just ten songs, right? My top ten starts with:

10 best songs by Amy Winehouse

Amy Jade Winehouse or better known just as Amy Winehouse, was an English singer and songwriter, who (sadly) today is serving five years of her death. On July 23th, 2011, the amazing singer was found dead in her London apartment at the age of 27, after a drawn battle against addictions and substance abuse.

Personally, I wasn't an Amy's fan when she was alive, maybe because I was younger and her music was not very "appealing" to me. However, when I saw her documentary film "Amy" in February of this year, I realized of many things about her life, even I can say that I felt somehow identified with her and her way of see life. She was truly an artist in every way, she was so genuine, so honest, very hilarious, but also was very unconfiden; I think that it was the reason of her lost, because when  you don't value yourself, you become an easy person to be influenced by bad people and / or complicated situations. That was what happened to her, she was looking for love and she thought she had found it in a person who wasn't the correct (that's what I think about Blake Fielder, her husband).

I've always thought that if I had the opportunity to "revive" to someone, I would give a second chance to Amy Winehouse.
