The 20 Best Albums of 2016 (1/2)

This year was full of great album debuts and non debuts (for some) however, there were 20 albums which excelled more than others, because of the fresure and originality. In the next list, I will share with you the best 20 albums of 2016, according to me. Before you read the albums that I chose, I want to tell you that was very difficult to choose just 20, because the truth is that 2016 was a great year for music and us, fans.
No more to add, here it is the list of The 20 Best Albums of 2016 part one by Jus' Sayingg:

Panic! at the Disco - Death of a Bachelor (January 15th, 2016)

Album cover
"Death Of A Bachelor is in honor of those times I spent alone as a kid. Allowing music to consume me. Playing everything myself just to get the idea right and out of my head." Brendon Urie
I am pretty sure that it is their most successful album so far, as it debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, with 190,000 album units, earning the band its best sales week and first number one album.

My favorite song: Don't Threaten Me with a Good Time

Sia - This Is Acting (January 29th, 2016)

Album cover
"I’m calling it This Is Acting because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn’t go in thinking ‘this is something I would say’. It’s more like play-acting. It’s fun." Sia
Personally, I consider Sia as one of the most talented songwriters of this century and This Is Acting is perfect lyrically, each song has a beautiful message and a danceable rhythm, without forgetting her amazing ballads.

My favorite song: Cheap Thrills

Lion Babe - Begin (February 5h, 2016)

Album cover
"We wanted there to be a certain duality, like there is with Blondie, with me as the frontwoman, you might think I'm Lion Babe, but it's like, no, we're Lion Babe. We liked that. It's about embracing your uniqueness and rocking it." Jillian Hervey
Begin is the debut album by Lion Babe, the neo soul duo formed in New York City. It is the perfect example of how to make an unforgettable debut album.

My favorite song: Satisfy My Love

ZAYN - Mind of Mine ( March 25th, 2016)

Album cover
"I realized I couldn’t put any input in … because it didn’t fit the grain of what we were as a band and what we represented. That’s when it got frustrating for me." Zayn
Mind of Mine is Zayn's debut album that have made me to believe in Zayn's artistry. I've never been an 1D fan, but when Zayn left the band, I thoght he was not going to make it on his own, but he shut my mouth with this killer album.

My favorite song: sHe

Beyoncé - Lemonade (April 23th, 2016)

Album cover
"Grandmother. The alchemist. You spun gold out of this hard life. Conjured beauty from the things left behind. Found healing where it did not live. Discovered the antidote in your own kitchen. Broke the curse with your own two hands. You past these instructions down to your daughter, who then passed them down to her daughter.” Beyoncé (speech from the visual album)
Released in a surprisingly way, this visual album is the proof that Beyoncé is one of the few artists that never disappoints and she is always exploring new music genres. Each album is always better than the last one.

My favorite song: DADDY LESSONS

Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman (May 20th, 2016)

Album cover
"'Dangerous Woman' is a lot stronger. ... To me, a dangerous woman is someone who's not afraid to take a stand, be herself and to be honest." Ariana Grande
Ariana made it clear that she is not a little girl anymore and that this new album is just the beginning of a new era. It is primarily a pop and R&B album, with influences of house and dance-pop.

My favorite song: Touch It

Yuna - Chapters (May 20th, 2016)

Album cover
"Songwriting was natural to me, but trying to find that deep place is a rare thing to do when you’ve been writing a long time. … After I wrote all of it, I realized these were like chapters I had in my head lined up. It was me coming out of a relationship and learning how to love yourself." Yuna
Yuna is the best example that when you have talent there is no boundries of any kind.

My favorite song: Best Love

Flume - Skin (May 27th, 2016)

Album cover
"I wanted to do something that had more of a progressive feel to it. Something that takes you on a journey, less of a verse/chorus feel." Flume (talking about one track of the album)
Four years had to pass to get this amazing album by Australian electronic musician Flume. Skin is an album where you will find a mixture of different music genres, such as: EDM, electro-pop, dance-pop, wonky, future bass and hip-hop.

My favorite song: Never Be Like You (feat. Kai)

Tom Odell - Wrong Crowd (June 10th, 2016)

Album cover
"I wanted the songs to sound big and dramatic; big strings and melodies emphasizing the songs further – rich in musicality and holding nothing back. ...I started developing this story of a guy, using some of my experiences, so this person on the album is half me, half not me." Tom Odell
Even when it could be described as a sad album, it is beautiful and Tom Odell shows his most vulnerable side, through dramatic ballads and rhythmic melodies.

My favorite song: Silhouette

Broods - Conscious (June 24th, 2016)

Album cover
"It’s a metaphor for keeping alert and aware of everything that’s happening around us at the moment. It talks about being in a sleeping state. You don’t have control over your speed or strength." Georgia Nott
It is one of the best electro-pop albums of the year and Broods have made unforgettable songs with beautiful messages and amazing beats.

My favorite song: Are You Home

Don't forget to share this list with your friends if you liked it. Also you can leave a comment about it.

Rich assortment of new songs / Kings of Leon, OneRepublic & +

The Chainsmokers - All We Know (ft. Phoebe Ryan)
The American DJ duo called The Chainsmokers have released All We Know, featuring Phoebe Ryan,  following the success of their chart topping single, Closer.
I have to say that I'm not a big fan of them, but I have heard some of their songs and they have a relaxing style. All We Know is a song about "the hardships of relationships but never giving up on your ride or die", according to the duo and it has a good message, but it's so relaxing that can be a little boring, I'm jus' sayingg, that's my opinion about it.

"Never face each other
One but different covers
We don’t care anymore
Two hearts still beating"

Kings Of Leon - Around The World
Taking from their upcoming album Walls, Kings of Leon have released Around The World
This new song is more rhythmic that the last tracks that the band has been releasing and it follows the messages of live the life, because we don't know when it will finish. It has a relaxing rhythm and I like the lyrics, but the truth is that I'm not a big fan of their music style. However, it isn't a bad song.

"Keep dancing, like its ya last time
We're so thin ice, swimming in the light
When the curtain falls, I'm on your scene
"What sweet surprise" she said to me"

Tom Odell - True Colours
The British singer and songwriter Tom Odell has released a cover of Cyndi Lauper's hit True Colors. This is one of Lauper's iconic songs, so if haven'r heard this song before, perhaps you might like it, because is a beautiful song. According to Cyndi, this song is dedicated to "homeless gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered youth."

"But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you"

OneRepublic - A.I. (ft. Peter Gabriel)
A.I. is the newest song taken from OneRepublic's upcoming album Oh My My, it is a collaboration with Peter Gabriel and it's pretty cool. First of all, A.I. means artificial intelligence. Then, this new song has a great dance-floor beat that made me move my shoulders and even when I don't know who is Peter Gabriel, he sounds good in this 90s vibe song. I'm excited for One Republic's upcoming album!

"Yeah I just want my love automatic
If artificial love makes sense
I just want your love, I'm an addict
Artificial intelligence"

Korn - A Different World (ft. Corey Taylor)
The American nu metal band Korn have released A Different World, taken from their upcoming twelfth studio called The Serenity of Suffering, which will be released on October 21st, 2016. This collaboration featuring Corey Taylor the lead singer from the band Slipknot is full of energy and something kind of funny is that, it has dark sound, but the lyrics are like less dark, I don't know how to describe it, but is kind of funny for me. Sounds like rebels singing about sweet things. However, I liked the song.

"This world that I try to hide
It’s kind of a mess
Too reckless for you
This place makes me feel alive"

Emeli Sandé - Hurts
Long Live the Angels is the album title of Emeli Sandé upcoming second studio record and Hurts serves as the first single. The verson that Emeli has released in her Youtube, isn't the real version, so don't worry if you don't like it, because in this version her voice sounds with auto-tune.However, lyrically it is an amazing song, that is about "the agony of being in love".

"Baby, I'm not made of stone, it hurts
Loving you the way I do, it hurts
When all that's left to do is watch it burn
Oh baby, I'm not made of stone, it hurts"

My favorite song was...

Is hard to choose one, because today was a day full of several new songs. However, I will choose OneRepublic's new song called A.I., because it has a great vibe and it sounds pretty cool.

What about you guys? What was your favorite song? Did you liked The Chainsmokers' new song? What is the most boring song according to you? Write all your comment here and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog). Also visit the other posts.

5 Women VS. 4 Men / Watch these great music videos

Shawn Mendes - Mercy
"Mercy” is the third single from his upcoming second studio album "Illuminate". This pop ballad has a great message, it's about a heartbreak, but I think that rhythmically this song sounds pretty similar to "Treat You Better" and I have to say that I don't like when the songs sound similar, because it's kind of boring. On the other hand, I liked the music video, I think that I understood what he tried to explain us.

"Would you please have mercy on me?
I'm a puppet on your string
And even though you got good intentions
I need you to set me free"

Austin Mahone - Way Up
As all we know, Austin Mahone has been working in new music, thus he released two new song, one of them is "Way Up", for that reason he has decided to publish a lyric video that you can watch now. It sounds like an R&B song and I like the melodie of the song, I think it has nice style. Talking about the lyric video, we can noticed (again), that Austin isn't a little boy anymore, it's a hot lyric video.

"She a bad girl, she slim in the waist
She get what she want cause she pretty in the face
Takin' out her phone and she posin' for the picture
Filter out the things she ain't feelin' in the mirror"

Tom Odell - Here I Am
The English singer-songwriter Tom Odell has published a new music video, this time for the song "Here I Am", taken from his latest album "Wrong Crowd". This is an amazing song, I really loved it, actually the whole album is a masterpiece. The message of the song is so powerful and the music video is perfect for it.

"I walk past your tower block
Saw a flick in the blinds
I said tonight will be different
And that I won't come back"

Fifth Harmony - That's My Girl
The music video for the empowering female anthem "That's My Girl" by Fifth Harmony is pure fire. The song has a great message dedicated to those hard working girls and the beat is pretty cool. However, it reminded me to one of her old songs. Talking about the music video, I think that it's pretty cool, but I'm not sure if it really reflects the message of the lyrics.

"You've been down before
You've been hurt before
You got up before
You'll be good to go, good to go"

Calvin Harris - My Way
"My Way" is the latest single by Calvin Harris, so he published the lyric video. The song is about getting away from something, likely a relationship. The song has a tropical house beat and Calvin is the singer of the song. Calvin Harris explained that the song is about: “breaking out of a situation that you thought was a good thing. Then, you’re way more comfortable out of it.” Somethings is telling me that he's talking about... Taylor Liar Swift? I'm Jus' Sayingg okay.

"Why wait to say, at least I did it my way
Lie awake, two faced
But in my heart I understand
I made my move and it was all about you"

My favorite music video was...

I think that from this list, the best music video is "Here I Am" by Tom Odell. Even when it is kind of "simple" or "repetitive", it matches perfectly the meaning of this amazing song.

What about you guys?! What was your favorite video? Did you liked the newest single by Calvin Harris? Did you already watched Gaga's new video? If didn't, you can watch it here too, just search her name on the list that is on right side of the blog and watch it. Don't forget to follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog).
