The 60th GRAMMY Awards, do you agree with the winners?

Winners of the night
The 60th GRAMMY Awards were held on January 28th, 2018 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, so we already enjoyed the show and know who were the winners of a Grammy.

As I said in the previous post of this same topic, the nominees from this year were very "scandalous," because according to some people (and even me), the list of nominees in some categories were unfair and/or there were a missing of some other artists. In this post, I will show you the winners, my opinion about it and if I was right with the predictions that I did. Are you ready?! (Remember, I will talk just about the 20 most insteresting categories)
By the way, Bruno Mars was the king of the night and Kendrick Lamar was the prince.

1. Record Of The Year
WINNER: 24K Magic - Bruno Mars
(My prediction were Redbone - Childish Gambino or HUMBLE. - Kendrick Lamar)

The truth is that it was a big surprise to me (and maybe for a lot of other people too), that Bruno have won this category. It's a good song, but I'm still not very sure if it was "the record of the year of 2017." However, I'm happy that "Despacito" didn't won (#SorryNotSorry).

2. Album Of The Year
WINNER: 24K Magic - Bruno Mars
(My predictions were 4:44 - JAY-Z and DAMN. - Kendrick Lamar)

Another one for Bruno Mars! It was also the "surprise" of the night, I mean, Bruno won instead of Jay-z or Kendrick! Bruno Mars is an amazing artists, he dances well, sings well, and more; however, I don't feel like he should have won the category. On the other hand, I wanted that Lorde would won, because "Melodrama" is a masterpiece and I think that she deserved a Grammy for that album. For me, it was like a disrespect for Lorde and her album. She deserved more!

3. Song Of The Year
WINNER: That's What I Like - Bruno Mars
(My prediction was correct!)

This is the first category where I was right with my prediction, I chose Bruno Mars as the winner with his song "That's What I Like".

4. Best New Artist
WINNER: Alessia Cara
(My predictions were SZA and Khalid)

I'm not totally in agreement with the winner, but at the same time I feel like she deserved it. Nevertheless, I have to be honest and I wanted to see SZA winning this category.

5. Best Pop Solo Performance
WINNER: Shape Of You - Ed Sheeran
(My prediction was right!)

Even when I said that Ed was going to be the winner, I wanted to see Kesha winning her first Grammy for her song "Praying". But it's okay, Ed Sheeran deserved this Grammy for this category.

6. Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
WINNER: Feel It Still - Portugal. The Man
(I was right in my prediction!)

Again, I chose this song as the song that should win this category and I feel happy that Portugal. The Man won it.

7. Best Pop Vocal Album
WINNER: ÷ (Divide) - Ed Sheeran
(My prediction was correct)

8. Best Dance/Electronic Album

WINNER: 3-D The Catalogue - Kraftwerk
(My prediction was Mura Masa - Mura Masa)

I have to say that I disagree with this, because this is a live album and I feel like it's not that fair. Mura Masa deserved it!

9. Best Rock Album

WINNER: A Deeper Understanding - The War On Drugs
(My prediction was Hardwired...To Self-Destruct - Metallica)

10. Best Alternative Music Album
WINNER: Sleep Well Beast - The National
(My predictions were Humanz - Gorillaz and Everything Now - Arcade Fire)

11. Best R&B Performance
WINNER: That's What I Like - Bruno Mars
(My prediction was The Weekend - SZA)

Well, Bruno Mars was the king of the night and even when I'm not totally disagree, SZA (again) deserved a Grammy.

12. Best R&B Song
WINNER: That's What I Like - Bruno Mars
(My prediction was correct!)

13. Best Urban Contemporary Album
WINNER: Starboy - The Weeknd
(My prediction was correct!)

I'm so happy that The Weeknd won this category because, honestly, "Starboy" is an amazing album; however, this album is so good that it should have be nominated for more categories.

14. Best R&B Album
WINNER: 24K Magic - Bruno Mars
(My prediction was right!)

15. Best Rap Performance

WINNER: HUMBLE. - Kendrick Lamar
(My predictions were Bodak Yellow - Cardi B and 4:44 - JAY-Z)

It's very surprising that Jay-z didn't won, but I agree with the decision of the academy.

16. Best Rap/Sung Performance

WINNER: LOYALTY. - Kendrick Lamar Featuring Rihanna
(My predictions was Family Feud - JAY-Z Featuring Beyoncé)

I agree with the decision of the record academy, they deserved it.

17. Best Rap Song

WINNER: HUMBLE. - Kendrick Lamar
(My prediction was correct!)

18. Best Rap Album
WINNER: DAMN.- Kendrick Lamar
(My prediction was correct!)
It's still very surprising that Jay-Z haven't won (again), but I'm happy for that, because let's be honest, Jay-Z already have like a million of Grammys.

19. Best Song Written For Visual Media
WINNER: How Far I'll Go - (Auli'i Cravalho) - Track from: Moana: The Songs
(My prediction was I Don't Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker) - (ZAYN & Taylor Swift) - Track from: Fifty Shades Darker)

20. Best Music Video

WINNER: HUMBLE. - Kendrick Lamar
(My prediction was correct!)

The music video for "HUMBLE." is pretty dope and well done; however, I wanted to see Jain winning her first Grammy for the music video of "Makeba".

I had 10 correct predictions (out of 20) and I feel good about that (ha!).  Some other artists also deserved a Grammy for what they did, but at the end, the people from the record academy decide who has to win. I have to say that I'm kind of sad, because Lorde didn't won something for "Melodrama", for me, it was "the album of the year."

Tell me guys, what do you think about my opinions? Do you agree? Write it down and let's keep in touch, comment and / or share this blog. What did we do to deserve these amazing videos!

These past days have been full of interesting and very creative music videos. In this post, you'll find ten of them, that I considered as the best ten from the past weeks. Find the new from the newest by Kimbra, Justin Timberlake, The Neighbourhood, Krewella and more!

Kimbra - Human
The New Zealand singer Kimbra has been releasing new songs and music videos, which serve as promotion for her upcoming album "Primal Heart" that will be available on April 20th, 2018. She has published a new music video for the single "Human", that follows the same music style than the previous songs. In the music video we can see two Kimbras, what makes me think that the meaning of the video is about selflove, because of the lyrics that talks about self consciousness.

Justin Timberlake - Supplies
The second single by Justin Timberlake "Supplies" has been released with its music video and it has great visuals. This new song has a weird beat, but at the same time is cool and it's so Justin, I mean, I can't imagine someby else singing this because it's his style. As I already said, the video is very entertaining and I think that it reflects (a little bit) the meaning of the song, which is a love song and he is mainly saying that he is all that she needs.

Tinashe - No Drama (feat. Offset)
"No Drama" is the newest single by Tinashe and this song and video is pure fire! I really love her music style and this new song is very catchy and fun; however, I noticed that the beat is very dark even when the song is about having a great day without drama. The video is so her style and I really like the chorography, by the way,  she looks pretty sexy. Tinashe is pretty talented and I hope that this new song could give her the attention that she deserves.

Maroon 5 - Wait
This upbeat pop song by Maroon 5 titled "Wait" is their newest single taken from their latest album "RED PILL BLUES”. In the song, he is asking for an apologize and it's a cool song. Talking about the video, he is using all the filters from Snapchat or Insta and even when I don't like it, I think that it's a way to explain that he is using the media to apologize and hoping for his girl to watch it.

Fall Out Boy - Church
This song comes in their latest album and it's one of those epic love songs that I love. In the case of the video for this song, I can say that (finally) thay make a not-that-weird- video that actually reflects the meaning of the song. They always release weird videos that at the end don't reflect what the songs are about, but this is not the case.

Jax Jones - Breathe (feat. Ina Wroldsen)
As all we know, Jax Jones is a hit maker and "Breathe" featuring Ina Wroldsen is a bop! In the case of the song, every thing is perfect, the beat, the lyrics, Ina's voice, every thing. Now, the music video is entertaining and all the stuff, but it could have been better, I mean, the song is amazing and the video is just good.

Rudimental - These Days (feat. Jess Glynne, Macklemore & Dan Caplen)
Rudimental is that kind of group that always make beautiful songs, always! And this new one called "These Days" featuring Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen is an amazing collaboration. This song is very emotional and I'm pretty sure that it may make you cry, because it talks about hoping to see again in the future to that one special person (at that time), that took a different path. The video is reflecting the meaning of the song and that's why I think that it's a great video.

Justin Timberlake - Say Something (feat. Chris Stapleton)
Justin has released another music video for a new song titled "Say Something", featuring Chris Stapleton. I really liked this song because of its vibe; however, something that we have to know is that, the version from the video may be different of the studio version. Why? Because the video is like a live version of the song and you know, when artists do that, they tend to change it something.

The Neighbourhood - Hard to imagine
Our favorite band has published a great music video for four songs! As you may know (I wrote it in their EP review), their two last EPs are connected, so in this music video you can enjoy two songs from the "Hard" EP:  "You Get Me So High" and "Sadderdaze"; and two from "To Imagine" EP: "Scary Love" and "Stuck with Me". I liked how the video was edited and well, I love their music style, so for me this is amazing.

Krewella & Yellow Claw - New World (feat. Vava)
These two together are an electronic bomb! Krewella and Yellow Claw are two amazing electronic duos and "New World" is a banger! It has like a Japanese vibe and the video is pretty cool and mysterious.

Tell me guys, what was your favorite music video? If I had to choose my favorite one from this list, I would choose "Hard To Imagine" by The NBHD. Please leave a comment and/or share this blog. Remember that the official twitter of this blog is @JusSayinggBlog and Facebook @JusSayinggBlog, also my personal insta is on the left top of this page.

It's so hard to choose just one! New music for new experiences

As the days has passed, our favorite artists have released new songs and today, in this following list you'll find the best seven new tracks that I have heard in these past days. Find the new song by Sia, Troye Sivan, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Kylie Minogue and more!

Zedd - The Middle (feat. Maren Morris & Grey)
The amazing Zedd has finally released a new song titled "The Middle" featuring Maren Morris and Grey. I think that the latest tracks that he has been releasing are great and this one is my new favorite. The song is about stop fighthing and just start the love again, I really loved the massage and I think that it's the first time that I heard to Maren Morris and I loved her voice, she sounds just perfect in this track.

Thirty Seconds To Mars - Dangerous Night
Thirty Second To Mars have released a new song called "Dangerous Night" and it's a love song. I liked its beat, because it sounds very fresh and it's less "dark" than their past songs. It's a catchy song and I feel like it could be a new hit for them.

Sia, David Guetta & Afrojack - Helium
I think that we weren't waiting for this collaboration; however, I'm glad that it's real, because this new song is beautiful and emotional. Sia is singing about wanting the love of that person that makes her life better. "Helium" is an electronic ballad that I'm sure you'll love.

Kylie Minogue - Dancing
Kylie Minogue has returned with her new single "Dancing" that forms part of her upcoming album "Golden". This new track has a sweet rhythm, it mixes a little bit of country vibes with her dance pop that all we love. I have to say that she's one of the few singers that I still listen since a child, so this new single is very fresh to me. I liked it, but I hope that she can release a more powerfull single than this one.

Troye Sivan - The Good Side
First of all, I have to say that I wasn't expecting this song to sounded as it sounds, but don't get me wrong, it's a great song. After his first single, that has a strong rhythm, Troye has decided to released a beautiful breakup song titled "The Good Side". It's a guitar ballad and when it first started with the sound of like a harp, I thought that it was going to be as "My My My!" but it wasn't! It was very suprising, but it was a good surprise.

Beth Ditto - I'm Alive
Beth Ditto has released a new song (that is not that new), because the song "I'm Alive" is a cover. The song belongs to Tommy James & The Shondells, which is a  rock band, formed in Niles, Michigan in 1964. Nevertheless, this kind of 60s-70s vibe goes perfect for Beth's voice, it's a simple song, but its message is clear and powerful.

Rita Ora - Proud
The British singer Rita Ora is keeping releasing new songs and this time she has giving us an empowering song called "Proud". This is a pop ballad and as the title says, it's about being proud of who we are and to stay in that mood forever. I love the message, but something is missing, I mean, it's not like that kind of songs that I really feel.

Tell me guys, what was your favorite song? If I had to choose my favorite one from this list, I would choose "The Middle" by Zedd. Please leave a comment and/or share this blog. Remember that the official twitter of this blog is @JusSayinggBlog and Facebook @JusSayinggBlog, also my personal insta is on the left top of this page.

Album review: Fall Out Boy - M A N I A

Album cover

"MANIA" is the newest album by the American band Fall Out Boy, it was released on January 19th, 2018, and I'm so happy to have new music from one the few bands that I still listen since I was a kid.

First of all, I noticed something very weird about this album and is that, the songs are in a different number of the list according the version, I mean, if you bought it in the digital version (iTunes), the songs follow a different order than in the CD version (example, the first track in digital version is "Young and Menace" and in CD version is "Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea").

"MANIA" The change
Since they released "Young and Menace" (the first single), I noticed a different sound, which was loved by some and hated for others. In my case, I didn't like it, because from my point of view it sounded as a remix, but not as the "real" version of the song. Now, that the full album has been released and that I can listen to this new concept, I have to say that I still don't like it, because I don't feel it, I just don't vibe with it. However, it's the only song that I could skip from the whole album, because "MANIA" is full of new anthems and bangers.
"MANIA" follows a little bit of the same "formula" from their previous album ("American Beauty/American Psycho", 2015), because it has that "commercial sound" that makes it "radio friendly," you know, it has catchy hooks and electronic sounds that make it sound as pop songs. Personally, I like when bands explore new or different music genres without losing their essence or style. In their case, they still sound like Fall Out Boy, they haven't lose they vibe. An example of how they use a new music genre is the song "Sunshine Riptide" (featuring Burna Boy), which is a mixture between reggae and rock that works very well, because it's a great collaboration and it sounds so good.

As I said, this album has great new songs that sound very fresh. I will start with my favorite track, which is "The Last of the Real Ones", I loved this song because of its explosive rhythm and meaning, it is also part of the epic love songs that "MANIA" has. According to Pete Wentz, "The Last of the Real Ones" is about: "That kind of love you feel for someone because of their glitches not in spite of them..."
The other love song that made think: "This is epic!" was "Church", which through the use of metaphors and religious terms, Patrick sings about worship and unconditional love to a person.
Nevertheless, if you want to rock more "Stay Frosty Royal Milk Tea" is perfect and it's also an empowering song; it talks about resistance and overcoming some problems that we may face. On the other hand, "HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON'T", "Champion", and "Bishops Knife Trick" have remarkable verses and stunning beats.

"MANIA" by Fall Out Boy is an album where we can hear their musical evolution, without losing their unique lyrical style and vibe. Except for "Young and Menace" (from my point of view) each song is unforgettable melodiously and lyrically, probably, the album is not that "solid" about it's concept, but I really liked it.

Fall Out Boy - M A  N   I    A: ★★★★

EP review: The Neighbourhood - To Imagine

EP cover

The Neighbourhood has gave us more music to start the year, the name of their new EP is "To Imagine" and I think that my new favorite song from The NBHD is in this EP.

"To imagine" was released on January 12th, 2018, and according to the band, it is connected with their previous EP "Hard" released on September 22nd in 2017. Since The NBHD released the first single from this EP, I knew that something big was coming.

Let's Imagine!
"To Imagine" has five amazing tracks and I noticed that in this EP, the band have decided to explore different rhythms that their previous EP ("Hard") doesn't have, because the other one has slow down melodies and this new EP is "brighter" and less dark. Rhythmically, it has an "eerie new wave feel, heavy with synthesizers and vintage drum machine sounds."
The first track is "Dust", it talks about global warming and the persistence of humans to destroy the Earth with the endless conflicts among us. In "Dust" Jesse (the singer) uses some effects to distor his voice and making it more "dramatic". After this song, there comes three tracks that are about the same topic, love. The second track is the one that I chose as my favorite one from the EP and my new favorite song from the band. It's titled "Scary Love", which was also the first single, and everything in this song is perfect, the rhythm and the lyrics are very honest and beautiful; it talks about having found that special person, that you know you had good luck to have met him/her (in this case "her").

"Heaven" and "Compass", as I already said, are also about love; however, in the case of "Heaven" it has a mysterious rhythm and in a verse Jesse "raps" and his flow is great (he ususally does that in some other songs from previous albums,EPs or mixtapes). While, "Compass" has a faster rhythm and it is also very catchy and I love its meaning, because it's also very honest and he's saying that his partner is his only compass and without her he would be lost.
The EP ends with "Stuck with Me", this song is mainly about realizing that you are losing some people around you (for different situations); however, he knows that there will be some other people who will be by his side no matter what; it is the most personal and vulnerable song.

Personally, The Neighbourhood is one of my favorite bands ever and every time that they release something new, they manage to catch me with their new songs and rhythms. "To Imagine" has five tracks that i'm sure they will stuck on your mind, because of their lyrics and vintage vibe.

The Neighbourhood - To Imagine: ★★★★

Album Review: Camila Cabello - Camila

Album cover
Camila Cabello's self-titled solo debut album "Camila", was released on January 12th, 2018, and this is the first album review of this new year. It is why I wanted to tell you that in this year the reviews will be a little different. However, they still will be written from my point of view, so let's get into the first review of 2018!

I have to admit that Camila Cabello wasn't one of my favorite singers from 5H, in fact, I used to hate her voice and used to think that she was there just because her physic (she's beautiful). Nevertheless, since she started releaseing her solo singles, I decided to change my thoughts about her and enjoy her music. Now that she has released the full album I can say that Camila is here to stay and she's not playing little games.

"Camila" in general:

"I decided to call it by my name, because this is where this chapter in my life ended. it started with somebody else’s story, it ended with me finding my way back to myself." Said Camila Cabello about her album and I think that what she said is very reflected in the album, because there are songs about love, breakups and friendship, but written since her point of view.
"Camila" is a great debut album and it also sets what she preaches, because it has that Latin rhythms and it's so tropical and warm. I feel like she decided to "follow a path" without exploring new rhythms, because what we can hear in the whole album is what we were expecting from her, but don'r get me wrong I think that it was a good decision.

Camila's sounds:

As I already said, it has tropical and Latin rhythms, while in some songs she mixes the Spanish with English. It's pretty enjoyable and I think that it's so Camila; however (and I have to point it out), there are some songs that could also be interpreted by 5H (I had to say it, sorry).

The album has something that I noticed and I wasn't expecting it, there are several ballads and I thought that it was going to be full of dancefloor songs, but don't get me wrong (again) all of them are great. "All These Years" is a beautiful guitar ballad that talks about an encounter with an ex and it's pretty sad, but at the same time is beautiful, I could describe this song as bittersweat. "Consequences" and "Something's Gotta Give" are both so beautiful; however, "Something's Gotta Give" is the best ballad in the album (according to me), because it's very emotional and all we could relate with its meaning; which is about a break up.
Now let's talk about the bops from this album. I said that it has several ballads, but the few danceable songs are very catchy and cool. The first banger is "She Loves Control", because we cannot deny that it's impossible not to dance to reggaeton beats. The other one is "Havana" (featuring Young Thug) and "Into It", that is the last track.

Well done, Camila, because this debut is great and I think that it will be one of the most successful debuts of this year. My favorite song was "She Loves Control" (sorry, is just that it's pretty cool) and I have to say that my past thoughts about her have gone!

Camila Cabello - Camila: ★★★★

It's hard to choose the best one! New year, new videos.

These past two weeks (the first two from this new year) have been full of new music videos, released by our favorite artists. In this following list, I will show you the best six videos that where released from the first day of 2018 to 14th January 2018.

Dua Lipa - IDGAF
Finally, Dua Lipa has released the music video for the single "IDGAF", taken from her self-titled debut album. This song was one of my favorite since I heard it and I'm pretty happy that she realized that it should be a single, becuase everything in this track is perfect. Let's move on to the music video, I think that it's very creative and entertaining, I also liked that she's playing the role of her ex, and the visual effect of two Duas is amazing!

Troye Sivan - My My My!
Troye Sivan has released his new single called "My My My!" and it's fire! The truth is that he is a great singer and his music style is very original, this song shows it and it's very refreshing. The video is cool for the song and I think that the place where it was recorded was perfect for its vibe. He seems to be enjoying his nw song and so do us!

Taylor Swift - End Game (feat. Ed Sheeran & Future)
Taylor Swift keeps releasing music videos and it was the turn for the song "End Game", which is a collaboration with Ed Sheeran and Future. I think that the video doesn't reflects the meaning of the song, it's like just a video where we can notice that Taylor is enjoying this new chapter in her carrer. I liked it, but as I said, it's not like a video where the meaning of the song is explained (from my point of view).

Bruno Mars - Finesse (Remix) [Feat. Cardi B]
Bruno Mars had the greatest idea of inviting the new sensation Cardi B, to make a remix of "Finesse", song that comes in Bruno's latest album (without Cardi B). Personally, I really like this song, because it's so catchy and its old school vibe is so cool. On the other hand, the music video is like a 90s TV show, because of the clothing and scenography; it's pretty fun and it goes perfectly with the song. Well done guys!

Justin Timberlake - Filthy
"Filthy" is the name of Justin Timberlake's newest single, taken from his upcoming studio album "Man of The Woods" and we have to admit that most of us were waiting for this. Let's talk about the song first, "Filthy" is a sexual song with electronic beats. It sounds different, but at the same time it has his vibe. Moving to the music video, Justin is acting like if he were Steve Jobs introducing us to a new robot that moves without the necessity of cables or something similar. I think that the meaning of the video is that, there will be a time where robots will act like humans and they will experiment feelings and emotions as we do. At this point, I'm not pretty sure if I like the song or not, but I think that if I hear it more times, I will get it (or not).

JAY-Z - Family Feud (feat. Beyoncé)
The newest music video by JAY-Z has finally been published in his official Vevo page and this is a collaboration with his wife Beyoncé. In words of JAY-Z, this song is about "separation within the culture. Like, new rappers fighting with old rappers, saying all these things. So, the line is, ‘Nobody wins when the family feuds." The music video is a story where we can see different couples and women talking about different issues. It's kind of long, but it's very entertaining and well, I would say that this is and will be one of his new iconic videos.

Tell me guys, what was your favorite music video? If I had to choose my favorite one from this list, I would choose Bruno Mars' video feauting Cardi B. Please leave a comment and/or share this blog.
