What's your favorite story? Alicia Keys, John Legend...

Alicia Keys - Blended Family (What You Do For Love) (ft. A$AP Rocky)
Taken from her latest album HERE, Alicia Keys featuring A$AP Rocky have published the music video for her single Blended Family (What You Do For Love). I have to say that Alicia's new album is totally a masterpiece and this song is amazing. The music video is pretty good and it's perfect for this song.

"There ain't nothing I won't do for us
It may not be easy
This blended family, but baby
That's what you do, what you do, what you do
What you do for love, love"

John Legend - Love Me Now
Love Me Now is the first single from John Legend's upcoming fifth studio album called Darkness and Light, which is set to release on December 2nd, 2016. John talked about his new single saying: "Love Me Now is all about living and loving to the fullest, no matter what tomorrow may bring." This new song has a beautiful message and its rhythm is great, I liked it. Furthermore, the video explaains perfectly

"I don't know who's gonna kiss you when I'm gone
So I'm gonna love you now, like it's all I have
I know it'll kill me when it's over
I don't wanna think about it, I want you to love me now"

The Weeknd - Starboy (ft. Daft Punk)
The Weeknd has published the lyric video for the lead single Starboy, taken from his upcoming fourth studio album. I don't understand why did he released it now, I mean, he already published the music video, so this video is useless now (for me). However, it's a pretty cool lyric video, because we can see him while he was taking the photoshoot for the album.

"House so empty, need a centerpiece
20 racks a table cut from ebony
Cut that ivory into skinny pieces
Then she clean it with her face man I love my baby"

Nick Jonas - Champagne Problems
Nick has published a new music video, this time for the song Champagne Problems. He talked about it saying that: "is a song about sharing a bottle of champagne with my now ex as we were breaking up to kind of close that chapter." This tack is one of the most danceable in the album and it's catchy. Talking about the music video, it is perfect for the song, I mean, it's a dance-floor song and its main topic is champagne, so the video reflects its message perfectly.

"Raising our glass cause it's our last
With these champagne problems
Just keep on, keep on drinking
Keep on, keep on drinking"

Gorgon City - Smile (ft. Elderbrook)
The amazing English garage duo Gorgon City has published a new single with its music video, the song is called Smile in collaboration with Elderbrook. I really love Gorgon City's music and this new song as a meaningful message, while the music video was very surprising for me, but I understood its story and it's pretty good. It also reflects the life of several women who have to fight for their children.

"But you smile like everything's alright
Alright when you smile
Oh but you smile like everything's alright
Alright when you smile"

My favorite music video today was, Alicia Keys' video for her amazing song. But what about you guys, what was your favorite video? Leave your comments here and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog). Also, you will find several interesting publications.

Drugs, sex, love or life? New songs by Fergie, Zara Larsoon & +

Fergie - Life Goes On
Fergie has released the second single from her upcoming album Double Dutchess. After the lead single M.I.L.F. $, Fergie finally released a good song, because let's be honest, the first single wasn't that good. However, Life Goes On has a beautiful message and its beat is great.

"Life goes on with or without you
It's up to you what you're gonna do
You could go or you could stay
Who cares anyway?"

Zara Larsson - I Would Like
The Swedish singer and songwriter Zara Larsson released I Would Like as a promotional single from her upcoming album. Zara is getting very known and it's because she has an original music style and her voice is unique. On the other hand, her latest tracks are very sexual, I know that she's young and that's what young people feel (I guess), however, it should be nice to listen to her singing about other issues, not everything is sex and love.

"What would you do, the way you hold it like that (like that)
Looking at me to see if I'm the get-back
Me and you boy, we gon' work tonight to leave, to leave
Yeah you're leaving with me, leaving with me"

Charlie Puth - Does It Feel
The American singer and songwriter Charlie Puth has released three new tracks that are part from the deluxe version of his debut album Nine Track Mind. The deluxe version with the new three bonus tracks was released today, so you can buy it and listen to the new songs. His debut album is one of the best that I have heard this year and this new song is good however, it sounds pretty similar to We Don’t Talk Anymore.

"And girl I promise I'm not gonna bother you anymore
Soon as you hang up the phone
I just got one question that you might not be ready for
But I really gotta know"

Childish Gambino - Me and Your Mama
Donald McKinley Glover is an American actor, writer, comedian and musician. As a recording artist, he usually performs under the stage name Childish Gambino. He has released a new song called Me and Your Mama, taken from his third upcoming album Awaken, My Love! It's the first time that I see his name and that I listen one of his songs however, this track is very interesting. It's an R&B song with some of blues and rock. The song is about marijuana, which Donald has admitted he has an addiction to in the past and he’s notorious for being lifted during interviews.

"Can't stand it, backhanded!
They wanna see us fallin' apart!
You know that I love you!
So let me into your heart!"

My favorite song from these four was the new Fergie's song, because it sounds more mature and it has a great vibe. But what about you guys? Write all your comments about these new songs and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog).

My Collection: Major Lazer - Peace Is the Mission

I decided to select from my collection, one of my favorite electronic music albums of all the times. It was recorded by  Diplo, Jillionaire, and Walshy Fire that together bring life to Major Lazer.

Peace Is the Mission is the third studio album by American electronic music band Major Lazer. It was released on June 1st, 2015.

Top songs: Lean On (with DJ Snake featuring MØ), Powerful (featuring Ellie Goulding and Tarrus Riley), Too Original (featuring Elliphant and Jovi Rockwell).

My favorite song: Lean On (with DJ Snake featuring MØ).

I know that it's been a long time since I don't write in this section on my blog, but is because school is taken a lot of my time. However, today I don't have too much things to do (or I don't want to do them). Well, I just wanted to tell you why I bought this album. Normally, I buy an album when it has great songs and when it has someting to tell me, I mean, that the songs have messages. Personally, Major Lazer doesn't have only danceable tracks, but also good messages in the songs and in Peace Is The Mission, there are songs about love and relationships (mainly).

CD (left) and poster (right)
I have to say that, I listen to Major Lazer's music since they released their second album, but with this one they became very famous around the world because of the hit single Leon On.
Talking about Leon On, did you know that Rihanna and Nicki Minaj were the chosen to sing this track? However, they didn't want it and it was something good, because MØ sounds perfect in this catchy track. According Diplo, the song was a success because "it was raw, uncut... it just took patience to get the sound right for you (almost a year) but the first idea never changed."

This is a great album and if you haven't heard it completely, you should do it, because not only Leon On is a great song, actually the whole album is amazingly catchy and danceable.

What about you guys? Do you like this album? What's your favorite song? Leave all your comments and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog). You can also read the other posts of "My Collection", where you'll find the other CDs that I have bought.

What's your mood today? The Chainsmokers, Emeli Sandé & more

Passenger - When We Were Young
Michael David Rosenberg, better known by his stage name Passenger, is an English singer-songwriter who has published a new music video for his single When We Were Young, taken from his latest seventh studio album Young as the Morning, Old as the Sea. It is a beautiful and emotional ballad that has an amazing message and the video reflects perfectly what Passenger wants to tell us.

"We used to never say never
Used to think we'd live for ever
Flying free beneath the sun
Days go running and hiding"

The Chainsmokers - Setting Fires (ft. XYLØ)
The American DJ duo The Chainsmokers, consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, have released a new song with its lyric video. The single is taken from their EP Collage, released a few days ago and it's a collaboration with the electropop brother/sister duo XYLØ. I have to say that I haven'r heard their EP, because I'm not feeling their music so it's not interesting for me to heard it. However, this song is not that bad, actually is good song and the lyric video is very entertaining.

"I can't keep you from harm
But I'm set on fire to keep you warm
I can't go on and on
Setting fires to keep you warm"

Emeli Sandé - Breathing Underwater
Taken from her upcoming album Long Live the Angels, Emeli Sandé has published a new music video for her new single Breathing Underwater. I really like her, because she's very talented and this another good song. This is song about hope and love, its video is also emotive and it's perfect for the song.

"And it's safe to say the storms gone away
And I’m dancing on the morning after
Yes I'd love to stay, but my home is the other way
And I miss the love and laughter"

Imagine Dragons - Shots
The indie rock band Imagine Dragons has published a 360º video for their single Shots. I didn't understand why they decided to do this music video now, because it was released a few years ago and it isn't a new single. On the other hand, the video is not that entertaining and the video is just a mixture of places that don't match with the message of the song.

"I'm sorry for everything, oh, everything I've done
From the second that I was born, it seems I had a loaded gun
And then I shot, shot, shot a hole through everything I loved
Oh I shot, shot, shot a hole through every single thing that I loved"

My favorite music video was Emeli Sandé's new video, for her newest single Breathing Underwater. What about you? What was your favorite video? Upcoming Album: DNCE - DNCE

Album cover
DNCE is the self-titled debut studio album by American band DNCE. It includes three tracks from their debut EP Swaay, as well as eleven additional new tracks. It is set to be released on November 18th, 2016. The lead single was released on Septe, ber 30th, 2016, called Body Moves.

Since they released their debut single Cabe by the Ocean, they caught my eye because of their great vibe and their original music style. In fact, Joe Jonas couldn't be  more popular without this band, because if he would be a solo singer, I think his music would go unnoticed, but with DNCE he is creating a successful carrer, even more successful than when he and his brothers were in their band.

Tracklist:

1. DNCE
2. Body Moves
3. Cake by the Ocean
4. Doctor You
5. Toothbrush
6. Blown (feat. Kent Jones)
7. Good Day
8. Almost
9. Naked
10. Truthfully
11. Be Mean
12. Zoom
13. Pay My Rent
14. Unsweet

Target bonus tracks:

15. Jinx
16. Cake by the Ocean (Live)
17. Body Moves (Live)

Click here to watch it, because it has not been uploaded on Youtube

Click here to watch it, because it has not been uploaded on Youtube

6. Zara Larsson - Lush Life/Ain't My Fault (best): It was very spectacular, because she sang and danced amazingly perfect. We have to remember that she's a new artist and it was her first time in the EMA.

7. Green Day - Bang Bang (best): They showed me that they have the same energy that before.

8. The Weeknd - Starboy (worst): We have to admit that it was boring, even when he sang good it wasn't that spectacular as he thought, because I'm pretty sure that he thought it was going to be a great and amazing performance, but it wasn't.

9. Kings of Leon - Waste a Moment (best): This is the first time that I like one of their albums and this song is a good one. Talking about their performance, I think it was a good, because the band sounded amazing and Caleb Followill (the singer) sounds the same as in the song of the album.

12. Afrojack - Hey (featuring Fais and Ty Dolla $ign) (worst): Even when it wasn't that bad, it wasn't one of the best performances of the night. It was boring in some parts and entertaining in other (but mainly boring).

13. OneRepublic - Let's Hurt Tonight (best): This has become as one of my favorite bands and Let's Hurt Tonight is one of the best songs from their album. Their live performance was great and the rain in the stage was stunning.

Click here to watch it, because it has not been uploaded on Youtube

14. Green Day - American Idiot (best): It was the last performance of the night and as Green Day won the Global Icon Award, they played one of their most iconic and best songs.

Amazing anthems for the week / Alicia Keys, Green Day & more!

Alicia Keys - Holy War
The last track in the newest Alicia Keys' album is Holy War and it is one of the most beautiful and powerful songs in HERE, thus she published its lyric video. The singer talked about the meaning of the songs saying the following comment: "We get so afraid to talk to our kids about sex, or we wanna hide all of our body parts and don’t let anybody see the beauty of love and lovemaking, yet we let kids play Call of Duty all day and all night, and that’s, like, no problem? It’s very confusing and twisted."

"Maybe we should love somebody
Maybe we could care a little more
Maybe we should love somebody
Instead of polishing the bombs of holy war"

Green Day - Still Breathing
Taken from their latest album, Green Day has published the official music video for their third single Still Breathing. This song has an amazing message and I think that the music video is perfect for it. According to the band, they wrote this song with one purpose, that "people recognizing themselves in the song."

"'Cause I'm still breathing on my own
My head's above the rain and roses
Making my way away
My way to you"

Bonnie McKee - Easy
The American singer and songwriter Bonnie McKee has published a new music video for the song Easy, taken from her EP Bombastic released in 2015. If you don't know her, you should, because this song is amazing and the beat is so retro that you will love it. Now, talking about the video, it is simple but it's perfect for the song, I just liked it.

"I want something easy
Why don't you just lay your hands on me
Give me what I need
Easy"

Louisa Johnson - So Good
Louisa Johnson, the winner of the twelfth UK series of The X Factor in 2015, has published the music video for her single So Good. I have to say that it's the first time that i listen this song, but it is actually a good song, I liked the melody and the message of it. Talking about the music video, I think it is pretty well done and she is a great singer.

"I said I'm 'bout five minutes away
One more stop and I'll be off this train
I'm free any day of the week, always losing some sleep
I told myself I'll be back by ten"

Mac Miller - Stay
Taken from his last album The Divine Feminine, Mac Miller has published the music video for the song Stay. This alternative hip hop song is very catchy and sexual. However, the video is very simple and kind of boring.

"Okay now, baby, don't you leave my side, don't even try
I'mma go crazy, girl, you saved me
Meditate me, get me piece of mind
It's only she and I, ocean floor, how deep we dive"

My favorite one was the video for Easy, the song by Bonnie McKee, but what about you? What was your favorite music video? Leave all your comments here and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog). Don't forget to visit the other posts that you'll find here!

Album Review: Alicia Keys - HERE

Album cover
Here is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys. It was released on November 4th, 2016. According to the singer: "This album is so much about life, New York City, us as people, all the stories I saw growing up,”

After her geat album Girl on Fire (2012), Alicia decided to returned to her roots and she sounds more New Yorker than ever with HERE. Musically, she said that: “It sounds like the New York that I know. It’s aggressive, it’s raw, it’s me being my most truthful…It is such powerful music. You are going to go crazy.” mixing hip-hop, pop, R&B and soul. Lyrically, I noticed a lot of songs about problematic issues that a lot of people have been living these last years, talking about hope, injustice, deaths, murders, family and racism against afro-americans (mostly).

The album has several interludes that gives a more realistic vibe to the tracks. The first interlude is called The Beginning (Interlude), followed up by The Gospel a song about "the problems with money and drugs in the familys of the ghetto." While, in Pawn It All Alicia sings about letting go some things in order to start a new life, it is a beautiful song and its message is very powerful.

In general, it has a lot of slow piano ballads full of raw and powerful messages, that really wiil make you think about our life and the life that other people live. There are several interestings songs to talk about, for instance, the fifth track Kill Your Mama, where the main topic is the loss of compassion that some people loses thanks to the money and "dirty bloody business". Furthermore, Elaine Brown (Interlude) that is before this song is a poem, the woman who talks on it says: "Poetry from the street". Continuing with interesting tracks, the sixth track called She Don't Really Care_1 Luv is actually two song in one, because 1 Luv is a song that is at the end of She Don't Really Care, but in the same track. I think that She Don't Really Care is my favorite song.

"She grew up in Harlem
She grew up in Bronx
She know she was a queen
She lived in Queens
Oh yeah, oh yeah"

Here is that kind of albums that can be described as dark, but at the same time very lit, because there are songs very dark because of their messages, such as: Illusion Of Bliss, about an addict woman and how she really tries to change her life and at the end Alicia's voice breaks and the end of this song is very dramatic but real, she sings: "I don't wanna be a fallen angel, Don't say I'm gone, gone, I don't wanna be a fallen angel". However, as I said there are lit and hope tracks that makes this album very motivational, such as: Blended Family (What You Do For Love), Work On It and More Than We Know. On the other hand, in this album there are two tracks that talk about insecurities that some women have; Cocoa Butter (Cross & Pic Interlude) and Girl Can't Be Herself, which is also one of the few tracks with a fast rhythm.

Alicia Keys' album ends with Holy War, which is amazing. This last track talks about that we should be more empathic and that there are things that matters less than other that should be moe important for us.

I really loved this album, because is a mixture of different feelings and emotions: it is dramatic, raw, lit, beautiful, sad is all at the same time, but at the end it helps us to think about issues that we should be more interested and worried.

Alicia Keys - HERE: ★★★★★

Now it's your turn to write your comment about it. Did you liked this album? What was your favorite song? Don't forget to follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog) and to visit the other posts. Furthermore, you can read the other album reviews that you will find here.

10 Best Songs By... Lorde

Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor, better known by her stage name Lorde, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and I decided to choose her 10 best songs (according to me), because she is about to turn 20 years old (born 7 November 1996) and I wanted to celebrate her birthday by doing this list with her best songs.

Even when she has only released one album, there are several tracks that deserved to be in her top ten of best tracks, because of their mesages and/or rhythm. The first track that all we heard by Lorde was Royals, that received acclaim from music critics, who praised its minimal production and lyrics. However, there are other underrated songs that you should listen to (in case that you only know Royals).

10. Lorde - Million Dollar Bills (from Pure Heroine – Extended version, 2013)

9. Lorde - No Better (from Pure Heroine – Extended version, 2013)

8. Lorde - The Love Club (from Pure Heroine – Extended version, 2013)

7. Lorde - Glory and Gore (from Pure Heroine, 2013)

6. Lorde - Tennis Court (from Pure Heroine, 2013)

5. Lorde - Buzzcut Season (from Pure Heroine, 2013)

4. Lorde - Team (from Pure Heroine, 2013)

3. Lorde - Royals (from Pure Heroine, 2013)

2. Lorde - Yellow Flicker Beat (from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Pt. 1 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), 2014)

1. Lorde - Bravado (from Pure Heroine – Extended version, 2013)

Tinashe is darker than never in Nightride

Mixtape cover
The American singer and songwriter Tinashe has released a new mixtape on November 4th, 2016. It has 15 tracks and it is the first part of her upcoming album. As you know, she was going to release a new album called Joyride that hasn't released yet and according to her: "Joyride reflects an pop, happy and light side of her career, while Nightride is the dark, urban & moody album."
Nightride can also be considered as a digital album and/or a mixtape, but not like a "real" album.

The lead single from Nightride was the song Company, which was released on September 16th, 2016, followed by Sacrifices. However, we will also find two tracks that she had released a few months ago: Ride of Your Life and Party Favors (the album version doesn't feature rapper Young Thug).

I been listening to some tracks from it and sounded pretty good, the tracks have that slow beat that reminded me to her debut album Aquarius (2014), which is it pure alternative R&B. Nightride is great mixtape, where you will hear her sexiness and her beautiful sweet voice. Iif you liked Aquarius, you will love this new mixtape. Furthermore, you can buy it on iTunes and listen it on Spotify and in her official Youtube account.

Tracklist:

1. Lucid Dreaming
2. C'est La Vie
3. Sunburn
4. Binaural Test
5. Sacrifices
6. Company
7. Soul Glitch
8. You Don't Know Me
9. Spacetime
10. High Speed Chase
11. Ride of Your Life
12. Party Favors
13. You Can Stay Here Tonight

According to the singer this album: “is about me not holding back and not censoring myself, and ‘Hurts’ is an explosion, it’s just…real talk.” Emeli also talked about the first single Hurts saying the following: "I wanted to release ‘Hurts' first because it felt like everything I’d avoided saying for so long. It’s a real explosion. It’s everything I wish I’d said years and years ago. I didn’t want to hold anything back anymore."

Album Review: Empire of The Sun - Two Vines

Album cover
Two Vines is the third studio album by Australian electronic music duo Empire of the Sun. It was released on October 28th, 2016. The duo explained the album title saying: “this image of a modern city overtaken by jungle”.

I listen to their music since 2013, when they released Ice on the Dune (2013) and I have to say that I really like their music style, I think that it is very original and unique, also they always make me feel like I am in another world, they have an intergalactic vibe. However, when they released the first song from this new album, I thought that it was going to be the same, but they really surprised me with Two Vines.
Musically, it has their electro pop sound, with some of glam rock, but what I liked was that they explored new sounds that makes it sound fresh. Lyrically, you will find songs about hope, life, love and peace, I mean, they always have peace and love messages in their music and this is not the exception.

The album opens with Before, that sounds like all their music, but for me this track does not describes the album, because there are songs that sounds more different from this one. It is followed by High and Low, the lead single and it was about Alice D, a girl that Luke Steele (the singer) met when he was child, he said that she was "a bit of a wild child growing up". Then, the third track Two Vines, which is a slow pop ballad with a lit rhythm, but I have to say that I did not understand its message very well.
Nevertheless, if you want to sing and dance, there are several tracks that are very catchy and danceable, such as: Friends, Way to Go, Ride (it has a Daft Punk vibe) and Zzz that was my favorite one from the album. It is about love and it has a great beat, is that kind of songs that you learn very fast because of its catchy lyrics and melody.

"Oh, tonight I stepped out, the starlight shining through
Angels calling us, we don't have too far to go
Rely on this now, the day I felt alone
Didn't wanna let you go, all we have is love to show"

On the other hand, in Two Vines you will find some good electro pop ballads, such as: Digital Life, There's No Need, where the singer's voice have a synthesizer effect. While the most vulnerable songs are First Crush and To Her Door, both songs describe the different sides of a relationship, one is about the love that you feel for the first time and the second is about the problems that people experience when in a relationship.
The deluxe version of the album contains four bonus tracks. The first three tracks are new songs, but the last one is Walking on a Dream, which was their first and most popular single, off their 2008 debut album of the same name.

Two Vines is a pretty good album with great songs, that will make you feel in another world. I liked it, but I have to admit that Empire of The Sun are not proposing anything "extraordinary" with this album, although they have explored new sounds, it does not mean that Two Vines is somethings that we had not expected.
