Love & peace amid the violence, in ZHU's new video

The Chinese American electronic musician and singer Zhu, has published a short film  for his single Generationwhy, taken from his debut album with the same name as the single.

The song talks about the good people in this world, that even when the world looks bad, there are good people who feel the love and that are not ashamed of showing it. It has a danceable beat and it's very catchy.

While, the 11-minute short film tells the story of a guy who at the end, is transported (after eating a mushroom) to a "brighter day and the promise of love and peace amid the violence." According to the Director American Millennial, the music video "is dedicated to those born into lives ruled by fear. It doesn't have to be this way. The answer may not be easy, but it is simple: never underestimate the power of one."

I have to say that at the begining, I was very surprised of how the video starts, but then it becomes less violent and more enjoyable as the song. I think that everybody will have a different explanation of the music video, and that's the interesting part of it, because all we have a different point of view. For me, the begining represents the how we are controlled to make things that we don't want to do, but we do it beacause of the pressure that other people put in us. However, if we look for our freedom, we could find that at the end, we are people that if we stick together, we will live in a better world with more love, understanding and equality.
