Lady Gaga is officially the halftime show performer at Super Bowl LI. The game is scheduled for Sunday, on February 5th, 2017, at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, and will be the third time the Super Bowl is held in Houston, after VIII in 1974 and XXXVIII in 2004.
After rumors saying that Gaga was going to be the performer for the next halftime show, Gaga posted yesterday in her Instagram saying:
"It's not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA! @nfl @foxtv @pepsi #PERFECTILLUSION #GAGASUPERBOWL"
Something that I have to say is that I'm very excited, because all we know that Lady Gaga is one of the best performes nowadays, she always create unforgetable shows and she is a great artists, so I'm pretty sure that the halftime show will be amazingly monstrous!
I made a "wish list" of songs that she must sing (is like mandatory):
Bad Romance (Of course, it is considered one of the best-selling singles of all time.)
Poker Face (It was her first international hit)
Born This Way
Telephone (Imagine Beyoncé singing with her! It would be the first time singing Gaga and Beyoncé together)
Applause (I really love this song, it's so catchy and rhythmic)
Other song from Joanne: I like Perfect Illusion, but maybe there are other songs from her upcoming album, that would be better perform.
So now you know, on February 5th, 2017, Gaga will be performing in the halftime show at Houston... and there will be an American football game too! lol
What about you guys? Are you excited for the halftime show of the next Super Bowl? Do you think Gaga's was a good choice? What songs would you like to listen that night? Leave a comment and share it with friends, also, you can follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog).
The American DJ duo called The Chainsmokers have released All We Know, featuring Phoebe Ryan, following the success of their chart topping single, Closer.
I have to say that I'm not a big fan of them, but I have heard some of their songs and they have a relaxing style. All We Know is a song about "the hardships of relationships but never giving up on your ride or die", according to the duo and it has a good message, but it's so relaxing that can be a little boring, I'm jus' sayingg, that's my opinion about it.
"Never face each other
One but different covers
We don’t care anymore
Two hearts still beating"
Kings Of Leon - Around The World
Taking from their upcoming album Walls, Kings of Leon have released Around The World.
This new song is more rhythmic that the last tracks that the band has been releasing and it follows the messages of live the life, because we don't know when it will finish. It has a relaxing rhythm and I like the lyrics, but the truth is that I'm not a big fan of their music style. However, it isn't a bad song.
"Keep dancing, like its ya last time
We're so thin ice, swimming in the light
When the curtain falls, I'm on your scene
"What sweet surprise" she said to me"
Tom Odell - True Colours
The British singer and songwriter Tom Odell has released a cover of Cyndi Lauper's hit True Colors. This is one of Lauper's iconic songs, so if haven'r heard this song before, perhaps you might like it, because is a beautiful song. According to Cyndi, this song is dedicated to "homeless gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered youth."
"But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you"
OneRepublic - A.I. (ft. Peter Gabriel)
A.I. is the newest song taken from OneRepublic's upcoming album Oh My My, it is a collaboration with Peter Gabriel and it's pretty cool. First of all, A.I. means artificial intelligence. Then, this new song has a great dance-floor beat that made me move my shoulders and even when I don't know who is Peter Gabriel, he sounds good in this 90s vibe song. I'm excited for One Republic's upcoming album!
"Yeah I just want my love automatic
If artificial love makes sense
I just want your love, I'm an addict
Artificial intelligence"
Korn - A Different World (ft. Corey Taylor)
The American nu metal band Korn have released A Different World, taken from their upcoming twelfth studio called The Serenity of Suffering, which will be released on October 21st, 2016. This collaboration featuring Corey Taylor the lead singer from the band Slipknot is full of energy and something kind of funny is that, it has dark sound, but the lyrics are like less dark, I don't know how to describe it, but is kind of funny for me. Sounds like rebels singing about sweet things. However, I liked the song.
"This world that I try to hide
It’s kind of a mess
Too reckless for you
This place makes me feel alive"
Emeli Sandé - Hurts
Long Live the Angels is the album title of Emeli Sandé upcoming second studio record and Hurts serves as the first single. The verson that Emeli has released in her Youtube, isn't the real version, so don't worry if you don't like it, because in this version her voice sounds with auto-tune.However, lyrically it is an amazing song, that is about "the agony of being in love".
"Baby, I'm not made of stone, it hurts
Loving you the way I do, it hurts
When all that's left to do is watch it burn
Oh baby, I'm not made of stone, it hurts"
My favorite song was...
Is hard to choose one, because today was a day full of several new songs. However, I will choose OneRepublic's new song called A.I., because it has a great vibe and it sounds pretty cool.
What about you guys? What was your favorite song? Did you liked The Chainsmokers' new song? What is the most boring song according to you? Write all your comment here and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog). Also visit the other posts.
Major Lazer & Showtek - Believer
Major Lazer has finally released a new song, this time featuring Showtek. The song is called Believer and it's great!
It has a beautiful message and the beat is just great, I think is apowerful song that could be Major Lazer's next hit, because the truth is that Cold Water wasn't a big success. I'm very excited for this new era that Major is starting.
"When the valley couldn't hold me, they throw me in the river
Thinking I would drown but man ah good swimmer, ohhh
They say hotter the battle, yea, we dance when we conquer
It's been forever, it won't be much longer"
Zara Larsson - Ain't My Fault
The Swedish singer and songwriter Zara Larsson has published the music video for her latest single Ain't My Fault, that will be part of her first international studio album. Ain't My Fault is about "how someone can make you behave, when you’re so in love with them". So the music video had have to be hot, right? It is a good music video and I think that it's perfect for the message of the song. Talking about Zara as singer, I like her voice, it's pretty unique and she sings very good. I think she's going to be very successful in the next months.
"It ain't my fault you came here looking like that
You just made me trip, fall, and land on your lap
Certain bad boy smooth, body hotter than a sauna
I don't mean to be rude, but I look so damn good on ya"
Bastille - Send Them Off!
Bastille has published the official music video for their latest single Send Them Off! Taken from their new album Wild World (out now).
This is one of the best tracks off the album and one of my favorite. Send Them Off! Has a beautiful message and the video is great. If you haven't heard the album do it! It's amazing. Furthermore, you can read the album review that I published in this blog.
"Set me free from my jealousy
Won't you exorcise my mind?
Won't you exorcise my mind?
I want to be free as I'll ever be"
David Guetta - Would I Lie To You (ft. Cedric Gervais & Chris Willis)
Would I Lie To You is the newest single by David Guetta, featuring Cedric Gervais & Chris Willis. This new song reminded me slightly to one of his last song Dangerous, because of its rhythm and 90s vibe. I really like David's music, but I'm not pretty sure if it's a great song, maybe I have to listen it more.
"Look into my eyes, can't you see they're open wide?
Would I lie to you, baby, would I lie to you? Oh yeah
Don't you know it's true, girl, there's no one else but you
Would I lie to you? Baby, yeah"
My favorite music video was...
Zara Larsson's new music video was my favorite today, because it has nice visual effects and I think that it's perfect for the message of the song.
But tell me guys, what was your favorite music video? Did you liked David Guetta's new song? Did you already heard the newest album by Bastille? Leave a comment here and visit the other posts. Furthermore, you can follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog) for further information.

The British electro-pop trio published the music video for the song Meteorite, taken from the soundtrack for British romantic comedy film, Bridget Jones’s Baby.
I have to admit that I'm a fan of these guys and I listen to their music since they weren't too "famous", so I like this song. Talking about the video, I think that it's very entertaining and fun. What I liked the most was that, we can see Emre and Mikey dancing and is the first time that I see them dancing.
"I don't know how it led to this
I felt a tremor in your kiss
The earth shakes, and I answer it
My body realigns"
Flume - Say It (feat. Tove Lo)
Flume published the music video for his last single Say It, featuring Tove Lo. It is a song about sex and the desire for past and present relationships.
Flume's last album Skin is one of the best albums of 2016, according to me and to other people and Say It, is one of the best song from it. Talking about the music video, is pretty cool and even when it doesn't have too much sense, I think that it is perfect for this kind of music.
"Feeling the song, party done, shadows walking home
Walking with our game on
You are my kind, classic mind, and you look so fine"
My favorite music video was...
I will choose Years & Years' newest video, because I like the song and I think that it's very entertaining and fun.
But what about you? Which is your favorite music video? Did you like Fume's music? Leave a comment here and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog). Furthermore, you can read the other posts, where you'll find new songs, videos, album reviews and more!
The Rumanian singer Inna has released a new song called Say It With Your Body, she also has published the music video in promotion for the song. Inna is one of my favorite singers and this new song sounds great! I love how her voice sounds and the rhythm of the song sounds very fresh and different. I have noticed that she has been exploring new sounds. Talking about the video, Inna looks sexy and beautiful, it is actually a hot video perfect for this new track.
"Shut up, say it with your body"
The Weeknd - Starboy (ft. Daft Punk)
The Weeknd came back with his new single Starboy, featuring the amazing electronic duo Daft Punk and its music video is pretty cool. The Weeknd's newest song is great, I like its beat and even when it has a dark vibe it's a dance-floor song. The music video starts with the "old" The Weeknd with the "new" Weeknd, then the "old" weeknd is murdered by the starboy. I really like this new album, it's so entertaining and it matches perfectly to the message of the song.
"You talking money, need a hearing aid
You talking bout me, I don't see a shade
Switch up my style, I take any lane
I switch up my cup, I kill any pain"
Chase & Status - All Goes Wrong (ft. Tom Grennan)
The English electronic music production duo Chase & Status have published the music video for their latest single All Goes Wrong, featuring Tom Grennan. Their drum & bass beats makes this song amazing and I love the message of the song and the video, I think both are perfect. Chase & Status are very talented and this new song featuring Tom is incredible. On the other hand, Tom Grennan sings pretty good, is the first time that I see his name, but I like his tone of voice.
"Through the fire I'll keep burning on
Will I hold myself together
When it all goes wrong?
The fires, they keep burning on
Will I hold myself together"
Cruel Youth - Diamond Days
The new band fronted by Teddy Sinclair, who previously recorded two solo albums under the name Natalia Kills has published the new music video for the single Diamond Days. I still remember when Natalia (now Teddy) released her second studio album Trouble in 2013, and now to realized that she has changed her stage name and that has formed a band, is kind of weird, because she was great as Natalia Kills. But let's talk about the song and music video. I have to say that the video is okay for the song and the message of Diamond Days is very dramatic and kind of sad, but I like its rhythm.
"The diamond days are gone
And I would be a fool to carry on
And no there's nothing wrong
But I'm already gone"
My favorite music video was...
Is so hard for me to choose just one, because I'm between Inna and The Weeknd, actually these four music videos are great, so I don't know what choose. Well, I will choose The Weeknd's newest video (but believe me these four videos are great).

Followed by Kids as the second single and Future Looks Good as promotional single.
I have to say that OneRepublic is one of my favorite pop rock bands, because they have an orioginal music style and they always amke great albums, they never dissapoint and I know that Oh My My will be amazing.

The Dutch-born DJ Afrojack has released a new song called Gone, featuring the R&B singer Ty Dolla $ign. Afrojack explained about it: “I love pushing boundaries and Ty brings a unique style to the game. It was time for something new—collaborating with him did just that.”
Personally, I like the beat, but I'm pretty sure if I would like to heard it again, I mean, it's not like "THE SONG", is just another song and that's it.
"Baby I don't wanna rush you, you know you control the tempo
Yeah, bet you like it when I touch ya (I do),
blow your mind just like a whistle, official
No we ain't gotta complicate things, just keep it nice and simple"
Hailee Steinfeld & Grey - Starving (ft. Zedd)
The American actress, singer and model Hailee Steinfeld in collaboration with the electronic duo Grey and the DJ Zedd, have published the music video for Hailee's single Starving, that is a song about "a relationship that’s getting more adventurous in and outside of the bedroom."
"I didn't know that I was starving till I tasted you
Don't need no butterflies when you give me the whole damn zoo
By the way, right away, you do things to my body"
Alicia Keys - Back to Life
The R&B Alicia Keys has published the lyric video for the song Back to Life, song that is part of the soundtrack from the Disney's movie Queen of Katwe. This song is so beautiful and I just love its message.
"I'm just tryna hold onto to a dream
Out here lost and nothing's what it seems
I'm just tryna find where I belong
This must be the dark before the dawn"
Röyksopp - Never Ever (ft. Susanne Sundfør)
The Norwegian electronic music duo Röyksopp have published the music video for their latest single Never Ever, featuring the Norwegian singer-songwriter Susanne Sundfør.
I'm a big fan of Röyksopp's music style and this song is amazing, it's catchy and has a retro vibe that will make you dance. Talking about the music video, it is very weird and psychodelic, but I think it's perfect for this track.
"Never ever gonna let you go now
I don't wanna cry
Never ever gonna let you go now
Not that I'm in love"
Bridgit Mendler - Atlantis
The American actress, singer, and songwriter Bridgit Mendler published a new music video for her single Atlantis, taken from her upcoming EP Nemesis. This is an alternative pop song that is about the end of a relationshin. Bridgit said about it: “Atlantis is a beautiful city that disappeared and was forgotten underwater. That is what it feels like to me to lose a first love.”
I have to say that I don't liked the song, but the video is not that bad.
"Oh, I know how to feel, I know that love exists
It's asleep with the fishes down in Atlantis
Oh, my Lord, where’s my soul? How did we end up like this?
Fast asleep with the fishes down in Atlantis"
My favorite music video was...
I would choose Alicia Keys' video, but it isn't a music video, so I think that I should choose a real music video. So that, Röyksopp's music video was my favorite. Never Ever featuring Susanne Sundfør is an amazing song and its video gives more psychodelic vibes to the song.
But tell me, what was your favorite music video? Did you like Alicia's song? What was the most boring video? Leave all your comments here and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog). Don't forget to share this blog and visiting the other posts.
Natural Causes is the third studio album by American recording artist Skylar Grey. It is her second album since her stage name change from Holly Brook to Skylar Grey. It was released on September 23rd, 2016.
I know her since 2010, when Diddy released the song Coming Home featuring Skylar's vocals. However, this is the first album by Skylar Grey that I listen.
Lyrically, there are songs mainly about love, break-ups, unrequited love and difficult experiences. Something that I like from Skylar Grey's songs is that, she is very honest and she always sing about deeper feelings. Natural Causes is totally an alternative pop album, with some of R&B vibes.
The first track is actually an intro called Intro - Wilderness, that serves to introduce us to her dark world full of honesty. As all the intros, it is short and Skylar's voice sounds slightly robotized, because of the use of the synthesizer. I have noticed that there are powerful songs, because of their messages, for example: Lemonade about an unrequited love, Kill for You featuring Eminem, that has a dark story behind, because it was inspired by Bonnie and Clyde's story, they were a couple known for their homicides and robberies. Continuing with songs about love issues, Real World talks about love in the real world and not through a computer or cell phone. Straight Shooter is like the darker song, because it is a little violent, but its meaning is like to be honest with the other and with yourself and always do what you want to.
Personally, the saddest song is Come Up for Air, which is a break-up song and its message is pretty sad. It is about a girl that has broken up with her ex, but she knows that he will come back with her just to play with her heart and she will be there for he.
"And I will still be here
When you come up for air
Do you what you gotta do
I'll wait for you, to come for air"
On the other hand, there are songs that lyrically repeat the same verses several times; but they are just as amazing as the other ones. For instance, Jump that has a catchy chorus or Closer the last track, it also has a relaxing rhythm and it gives a beautiful and lit ending to the album. But my favorite song was Off Road, which is also one of the most rhythmic tracks from Natural Causes; it is my favorite song because of its message, that is to enjoy our life, because is too short to not enjoy it and also that is better to try new things instead of doing the same shit.
There are some songs that bring light to it, such as: Moving Mountains that is a beautiful ballad that according to Skylar is about “finding your happiness"; she said: "In the verses I’m talking about that ambitious side of myself, talking from the perspective of the ambitious career-oriented person, and then in the chorus I’m the more enlightened me."
In My Garden, Picture Perfect and We Used to Be Bad are also great and each one have a different message, but I think that what these songs have in commun is that, they talk about acceptance and past memories.
I have to say that I been listening to Natural Causes since it came out and I think I'm not going to stop. Skylar Grey is an amazing artists with original music style and talent.
Skylar Grey - Natural Causes: ★★★★★
Now it's your turn to write your comment about it. Did you liked this album? What was your favorite song? Don't forget to follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog) and to visit the other posts. Furthermore, you can read the other album reviews that you will find here.
Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid is the fourth studio album by Die Antwoord. It was released on September 16, 2016.
Lyrically there are songs, where they tell us about their wild life style and using metaphors Die Antwoord raps about love, drugs, sex and other crazy things. Rhythmically, it is an electronic album, mixing techno beats with alternative hip hop. Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid is full of danceable and energetic tracks.
The first song is We Have Candy, which was going to be the name of this album. However, Yolandi proposed to change the name for Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid. We Have Candy has a carnivalesque vibe. As I said, you will find songs with different messages and of course, there are songs about love... or something like that, for example: Daddy that is actually my favorite song. I really love Yolandi's style, she's pretty cool and I love when she sings like if she was a little girl. This song is so catchy and hilarious. The third track is Banana Brain, which means "going bananas, or crazy, in their own mind." Personally, it is the most energetic song from the album and its techno beat is perfect, it is also a song about love, actually, it is about their relationship. Ninja said about it: "We are just, like, ultimate best-friends-forever type of thing… we’re not boyfriend and girlfriend, we are separate but we are best friends. We are homies and the kids have a good mama and daddy."
"I love it that you best friends with me
Just wanna treat your heart carefully
Cause everyday I feel blessed to be
The boy chillin' with you right next to me"
Gucci Coochie, featuring the American burlesque dancer and model Dita Von Teese, is the most sexual song and Dita's voice makes the song sounds even more sexual. I really love the beat of this track, it's totally a dance-floor song. However, Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid has also some "interludes" that gives "texture" to the album, such as: Jonah Hill, Wings on My Penis and U Like Boobies? Both songs are a collaboration with Lil Tommy Terror (I think he is six years old). While, Peanutbutter + Jelly is a solo Ninja's song and its beat is dope.
I noticed that the collaboration with the comedian actor Jack Black called Rats Rule and Shit Just Got Real, featuring the Cuban-American rapper Sen Dog, both tracks remind me those songs that the pirates sing in the movies, because of its rhythm. On the other hand, Stoopid Rich, Fat Faded Fuck Face, Darkling, Alien and Street Light have the slower and dark beat of the entire album. In fact, according to Die Antwoord: “Yolandi is vulnerable on Alien and Darkling. She opens up about her battles with depression, bullying and her fatherless childhood."
The album ends with I Don't Care, returning with the techno energy and they declare that as long as they are together, they will be okay and that they don't care about what the other people may think about them.
Die Antwoord - Mount Ninji and da Nice Time Kid: ★★★★★ Now it's your turn to write your comment about it. Did you liked this album? What was your favorite song? Don't forget to follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog) and to visit the other posts.
Joanne is the upcoming fifth studio album by American singer Lady Gaga. It is set to be released on October 21st, 2016. The album will have two versions, one is the standard with 11 tracks and the deluxe with three bonus tracks. Furthermore, it features one collaboration with Florence Welch the English musician, singer, and songwriter. Gaga already has released the lead single called Perfect Illusion, a collaboration with Mark Ronson, BloodPop nad Kevin Parker from Tame Impala.
As a music lover, I'm very excited for this new album, because I consider Lady Gaga as one of the few real artists that with each album, she grows musically and she always offers something new. I'm also very curious about how Joanne will sounds like, I mean, I have no idea if it will be like a rock pop album or if she will return to the electro-pop from The Fame, or if it will be a mixture of several music genres. However, what I alredy know is that I will buy the deluxe edition. At this moment we can't pre-order it on iTunes so stay tuned.
What do you think about it guys? Are you excited for this new album? Do you liked the first single? Leave all your comment down below and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog). Furthermore, visit the other posts, where you'll find album reviews, new song, videos and much more!
Finally, Tove Lo has released in her official Youtube account her latest song Influence, featuring the rapper Wiz Khalifa, it is taken from her upcoming second album Lady Wood.
I'm very excited about her upcoming album, this new song sounds so great. It follows the same dark sound as in Cool Girl, but this new song is about being drunk and / or high and to lose control of yourself.
"You know I'm under the influence
So don't trust every word I say, I say
When I'm under the influence
It's a blur, but I want my way, my way"
Skylar Grey - Kill For You (ft. Eminem)
This new song taken from newest album (out now) is a collaboration with Eminem, it is called Kill For You and it is an interesting song. It was a song that was inspired by " Bonnie and Clyde, who are a couple known for their homicides and robberies." In this case Skylar is totaly in love with Eminem and she would do anything for him. Lyrically it has a lot of verses, but are well written and talking about the beat, it's not that bad, but I got bored in some parts.
"You gon' make make me a believer
Even if that shit ain't true
You gon' make me commit murder
Baby, I'd kill for you"
AlunaGeorge - Not Above Love
AlunaGeorge has published one the new songs that are part of their latest album I Remember. The song is called Not Above Love and Aluna said that she was emotional when she wrote it. Aluna said: “I think this song speaks for itself, it was a moment where I was really stuck in this emotional… that point where you keep going round and round and you can’t snap out of it and a friend of mine really just explained to me that this person was promising things but not actually delivering anything and they were just stealing my obsessive energy that I was giving to that person.”
"I'm not above love, I just ran out of air
I'm not above love, so it's not like I don't care
And I know you're thinking the worst of me
But I hope one day you'll see"
JoJo - FAB. (Feat Remy Ma)
The American singer, songwriter, and actress JoJo has released the song FAB. which is a promotional single from her upcoming album Mad Love. JoJo said something very interesting about it: “I was literally singing in my head, and I was like I can’t stand these fake ass bitches in my face. I was like, you know what? I’m not cut out for the shmoozing and the fakeness. I literally can’t stand it. I know I’m not the only one that can relate to that. Sometimes [the music] industry can feel a little bit like high school so I was just reflecting on that and pounding it on the treadmill. I came to the studio that night and I was like, listen we gotta talk about these fake ass bitches."
"Fake ass bitches
When they smile in your face, but behind you it ain't well wishes
When they eatin' all the food off your plate and they don't do dishes
When they words and they actions blur and they don't know different"
My favorite song was...

The Australian electronic music duo from Sydney Empire of The Sun have published the music video for the lead single High and Low, taken from their upcoming album Two Vines.
The music video is visually beautiful and that's something that is something that characterizes them. Talking about the song, I have to admit that is not their best one, I think that it sounds as all their songs, I didn't hear something new or different. I hope their next songs would sound better than this one.
"Now we are running in a pack to the place you don't know
And I want you to know that I'll always be around
Down where the summer and the late nights last forever
There's a house on the hill and we can't travel now"
Karmin - Easy Money
Taken from their latest album Leo Rising, Karmin has published a new music video, this time for the song Easy Money. The Aquarius track is about been broke and it has great rhythm.
On the other hand, even when the video is simple and "repetitive", I think that what they are trying to explain us is that, if you want to have money you should do something to get it, not just sitting on the beach doing nothing. There's no easy money (sadly). It is totally a great song, but even when I think that I understood the meaning of the video, it is always a pleasure to enjoy a music video more "creative".
"So start stacking it up
I just wanna make easy money
Easy money, my love
A couple commas, that would sure be fun"
My favorite music video was...
Well, it is difficult to choose, but I think Empire of The Sun's video is better than Karmin's music video. However, if I had to choose the best song, Karmin's song would won.

The Altar is the upcoming second studio album by American singer and songwriter Banks, scheduled for release on September 30th, 2016. The lead single was released on July 12th and it was the track F**k with Myself, followed by Gemini Feed as the second single and Mind Games as the third single so far.
I have to say that, I'm pretty excited for her upcoming album, because I really love her music style and I think that she's very talented. I like her debut album released in 2014 called Goddess and listening her latest singles I noticed that Banks has been exploring new sounds, without losing her original and unique essence.
Tell me guys, are you excited for this new album? What's your favorite song so far? Do you think it will be better that her debut album? Leave a comment down below and follow me on Twitter and Facebook (@JusSayinggBlog). For further information, visit the latests posts and visit me daily.
I Remember is the second studio album by British electronic music duo AlunaGeorge. It was released on September 16th, 2016. The album includes collaborations with Popcaan, Zhu, Leikeli47, Dreezy, Flume and Pell.
I listen to AlunaGeorge's music since 2013, when they released they debut album "Body Music" and I remember that in those days, I was very obsessed with electro-pop music, so AlunaGeorge's music became in one of my favorite music duos, because of their original music style and Aluna's voice.
"I Remember" features twelve tracks and four collaborations, from which just one is a ballad, so the whole album will make you dance and sing. Rhytmically this new album shows a difference from their debut album, for me, it means that they explored new beats and they worked with new producers, I really noticed a musical growth in AlunaGeorge's career.
In "I Remember" you will hear amazing and dope beats, with great messages and unforgettable lyrics. Talking rhythmically it is an electro-pop album with some R&B tracks and you will hear a lot of tropical sounds. Lyrically there are songs about love, breakups, empowering anthems and more, you will find several songs that could match your life. For example, if you want to hear songs about love "Full Swing" (featuring Pell) and "In My Head" are the perfect ones, this last one has an amazing beat that will make you dance and sing, because its chorus is too catchy. One of the most emotional songs, according to Aluna is "Not Above Love", she said the following about it: “I think this song speaks for itself, it was a moment where I was really stuck in this emotional… that point where you keep going round and round and you can’t snap out of it and a friend of mine really just explained to me that this person was promising things but not actually delivering anything and they were just stealing my obsessive energy that I was giving to that person.”
"I'm not gonna call you in
Cause you're taking everything
You keep robbing my heart like a bank
No thank you, no thank you"
"My Blood", in collaboration with ZHU, Aluna said that it was the first song she has written that is overtly political, it is "about her ambivalence engaging with certain political movements". However, if you want to listen to a good ballad, "Mediator" is the perfect for you and believe me, it is one of the best tracks from the album, its message is amazing and the rhythm is ecstatic. While, my favorite song was "Hold Your Head High", there are other tracks that have the same party vibe, such as: "Mean What I Mean" (featuring Leikeli47 and Dreezy) and "I'm in Control" (featuring Popcaan), both have a tropical vibe.
If I should choose the songs that have the most powerful messages "I Remember" and "Jealous" would be the chosen ones, because both have that kind of lyrics that makes you think about the difficult part of being in a relationship. Furthermore, "Heartbreak Horizon" for me it is about, when you're with a person that don't make you grow and don't let you go. While the last track describes me, it is called "Wanderlust" and as the title says, it is about when you want to explore new places even though you may have to "lose" something or somebody.
"I Remember" is one of my favorite albums so far, so if you haven't listen it, you shouldn't waste more time, it is a masterpiece! Thanks AlunaGeorge.
